چکیده

Background: Spinal anesthesia-induced hypotension is one of the most complications which can cause many severe maternal and fetal complications. Therefore, prevention treatment spinal in pregnant women undergoing cesarean delivery play an important role. The use vasopressors effective method hypotensive prophylaxis phenylephrine currently first-line vasopressor choice to prevent this complication. aim study evaluate effectiveness safety two-dose for during delivery. Materials methods: In a randommized controlled clinical trial, 150 pregnants undregoing with anesthesia were randomly divided into three groups: Group I: as control group without (n = 50), II: 50µg intravenously bolus III: 75µg 50) immediately after induction anesthesia. Hypotension, defined decreasing systolic blood pressure > 20% baseline. incidence hypotension, levels side effects neonatal APGAR scores at 1 5 minutes. Results: was 44%, re-hypotension 16%. 28%, 2%. two groups both minute minutes same (p 0.05), all cases had 7. Conclusion: Phenylephrine intravenous doses 50 µg 75 are section. However, dose more than because lower rates recurrent (28% 2% vs 44% 16%, p < 0.05). addition, prophylactic didn’t detrimental adverses parturients their babies. Guidelines for managing hypotension during spinal anesthesia for cesarean delivery

Pregnancy produces significant hemodynamic changes allowing the cardiovascular system to meet the increased metabolic demands of pregnancy. The pregnant patient with normal cardiac function can accommodate significant alterations in the cardiovascular system without difficulty. However, these changes have major implications for anesthetic management, especially in high-risk patients. Knowledge ...

Combined use of crystalloid preload and low dose spinal anesthesia for preventing hypotension in spinal anesthesia for cesarean delivery: a randomized controlled trial.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Spinal anaesthesia for caesarean section is commonly associated with hypotension and crystalloid preload is widely recommended. Low-dose spinal appears to cause less hypotension. The aim of this study was to investigate whether the combined use of crystalloid preload and low dose spinal anaesthesia might further reduce the rates of hypotension. METHODS Sixty-two patie...

Prophylactic i.v. metaraminol during spinal anesthesia for elective Cesarean delivery.

To the Editor: We read with interest the article by Hillerman et al.1 concerning laryngeal nerve identification during thyroid surgery using the laryngeal mask airway (LMA). Although postoperative voice changes are usually attributed to recurrent laryngeal nerve injury, the external branch of the superior laryngeal nerve (EBSLN) is also at risk since it runs close to the superior thyroid artery...

Maternal hypotension during spinal anesthesia for caesarean delivery.

The aim of the study was to review maternal hypotension during caesarean delivery with spinal anesthesia. Obstetric complications, such as obstetric hemorrhage and problems related to concomitant maternal diseases are not considered. Reports of hypotension during spinal anesthesia for elective caesarean delivery are frequent (70-80%) when pharmacological prophylaxis is not used. Although some p...

Can we minimize hypotension following spinal anesthesia for cesarean section?

Spinal (subarachnoid) anesthesia is considered nowadays as the “Gold standard” technique for cesarean section. The technique has a very rapid onset and provides a dense neural block. Because of the small dose of local anesthetic used, there is minimal risk of local anesthetic toxicity, and minimal transfer of the drug to the fetus1. An important “bonus” is the “awake” mother who can witness the...
